1977년 MBC에 입사한 장감독은 방송가에서 무섭기로 소문나 있는 감독 중의 한 사람이다.

Director Jang , who joined MBC in 1977, is one of the directors known for being scary in the broadcasting industry.

 

경상도 남자답게 평소에는 말수가 적지만 촬영장에서는 중견 배우건 신인 배우건 간에 연기가 맘에 들지 않으면 혼내는 건 물론이고 욕도 많이 해 배우들에게 장 감독은 무서운 감독으로 알려져 있다.

As a man in Gyeongsang-do, he usually talks little, but on the set, Jang is known as a scary director because he not only scolds him if he doesn't like his acting but also swears a lot.

녹화장소 건, 술좌석이건 때와 장소를 안 가리고 욕을 한다. 이 거친 입 때문에 한 번은 탤런트 고두심 씨가 녹화 현장에서 『못 해먹겠다』 며 정면으로 대든 적도 있었다.

『속에 뭘 담아두지 못하고 현장에서 터뜨려버리는, 뒤끝 없는 장 감독이 오히려 일하기 편하다』는 사람들도 있다.

『왜 그렇게 입이 험해요』라는 얘기를 들으면 장감독은 1주일에 2∼3일씩 밤새우는 드라마판에 한 20년 잘 하려고 애쓰다 보니 그렇게 됐다고 말 한다.

When he hears, "Why is your mouth so rough" director Jang says, it happened because I tried to do well for 20 years in the drama set a drama that stays up all night two to three days a week.

 

갈수록 진지한 연기자가 되겠다는 생각보다 스타가 돼 CF로 돈 벌어 편하게 살겠다는 탤런트가 많아지는 것 같다. 이런 생각으론 보기에 그럴듯한 겉멋 연기는 할 수 있어도 독이 오른 진짜 연기는 할 수 없다. 신인들을 향한 장 감독의 거친 목소리는 장 감독의 성격 탓일 수도 있지만, 그런 허세를 버리고 거친 연기로 리얼 연기를 펼칠 수 있는 배우로 만들고 싶었기 때문이다.
As time goes by, more and more actors seem to want to become stars and live comfortably by earning money from advertisements rather than thinking of becoming an actor. With this kind of thinking, you can act with a seemingly plausible appearance, but you can't do real acting with poison. Director Jang's harsh voice towards newcomers may be due to director Jang's personality, but it is because he wants to throw away such pretentiousness and make him into an actor who performs real acting with rough acting.

 

촬영장에선 입이 거칠었지만 거친 입으로 수채화 같은 맑은 화면의 서정성을 만들어낸 장 감독은 어쩐지 프로 냄새가 난다.
